John (Neal) Gable

John (Neal) Gable, 81, died Wednesday at his residence. Born in Bryant, Indiana, he grew up on a farm in New Corydon and graduated from the Indiana Institute of Technology, Ft. Wayne, Indiana where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. He retired from Armco Steel in 1986 after 44 years. Mr. Gable was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. John's Church. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks.
He was preceded in death by his parents Cornelius S. and Mary C. (Minch) Gable. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Louise (Cramer) Gable, sons Cornelius John (Brenda), Jr., Gary L.(Karla) Gable, and Roger A. (Esther) Gable; a sister Clara (Edward) Gilgan; 17 grandchildren; and 35 great grandchildren.
Father John Civille will be celebrant of the Mass of Christian Burial. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Middletown, 4414 Lewis St., Middletown OH 45044 or the Alzheimers Association 644 Linn St., Suite 1026, Cincinnati, OH 45203
