William A. "Bill" Cramer, 76, of Middletown, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026 at Atrium Medical Center, surrounded by his family. He was born in Middletown on August 4, 1949 to parents, Charles W. and Cecilia M. (Lay) Cramer and lived in the area his whole life.
Bill was a Class of 1967 graduate of Fenwick High School and went on to earn his bachelor's degree in accounting from Miami University, graduating in 1971. He then had a fulfilling 32 year career in the offices of Armco / AK Steel, retiring as senior accountant in 2005. He proudly served in the Army National Guard from 1971 - 1977. Bill enjoyed playing in the AK interdepartmental sports leagues, including bowling, softball and golf. He had a bit of a competitive side and was an avid card and poker player. Bill loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandsons. He always looked forward to getting together with his "old man's breakfast group".
Most of all, Bill loved his family and he will be greatly missed by his son, Rik (Miranda) Cramer; sister, Mona (Gordon Phalin) Short; brothers, Bob (Angela) Cramer, Jim Cramer & Chuck (Kim) Cramer; grandchildren, Richard Cameron Cramer, Kelan Cramer & Kace Cramer; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Kitty Lantis, Dixie Dunlop & Lori Cramer.
A Gathering of Family & Friends will be Wednesday, January 21, 2026 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. with Father John Civille officiating.
