Virgil Lee Maines, Jr.

Virgil Lee Maines, Jr., 92, of Madeira, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Ohio's Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Campbell, Kentucky on December 4, 1932, one of fifteen children to parents, Virgil Sr. and Lida (Martin) Maines.

Virgil, along with his wife, Barbara, owned and operated Hamilton Stands for many years.

Virgil is survived by his sons, Virgil (Marilyn) Maines III, Michael Maines & Steven (Jennifer) Maines; daughters, Tracy (Loren) Long & Kristi (Bryan) Simone; sixteen grandchildren, Zach, Megan, Griffith, Graham, Christopher, Chase, Chandler, Josh, Kyle, Mia, Maggie, Ian, Luke, Matt, Alex & William; several great grandchildren; brothers, Jerry, Rick & David; sisters, Mary, Patty, Gloria & Rachel; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.

In addition to his parents, Virgil was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Fay (Nickel) Maines; son, Daniel Leo Maines; brothers, Bill, Ronnie & Tom; and sisters, Mabel, Margaret, Ruth & Shirley.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum.
