Thomas G. Bundren

It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Thomas Gibson "Tom" Bundren, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and community member. Born on August 1, 1953, in Middletown, Ohio, Tom spent his life surrounded by loved ones and was dedicated to his passions.

Tom is survived by his sons, Chris (Kelly) Bundren and Rick (Candace) Bundren; grandchildren, Lili Landers (23), Mia Bundren (21), Jacob and Makenzie Bundren (18), and Hayden Bundren (18); his sister, Judy Daniels; nephew, Doug Daniels; cousin-in-law, Dale Dennis; and his partner, Linda Helms. He was preceded in death by his wife, Robyn Bundren; sisters, Joan Bundren and Norma Heil; parents, Moss and Dollie; and in-laws, Dick and Martha Gibbs.

Tom was a longtime resident of Middletown and spent 30 years at AK Steel, where he built a reputation as a dedicated employee. Outside of work, Tom's true love was his community of car enthusiasts. He cherished the time spent with friends at the local car cruise-in events and was always tinkering with his beloved classic cars.

In his personal life, Tom was known for his kind heart and generous spirit. His marriage to Robyn Gibbs on July 20, 1974, marked the beginning of a loving partnership that lasted a lifetime. Tom's legacy will live on through the countless memories he created with family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his love for life, community, and family will continue to inspire us all.

A Celebration of Tom's Life will be Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown with Dr. Dan Flory officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum.
