Scott A. Reynolds

Scott Allen Reynolds, 43, of Middletown, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at home. He was born in Middletown on November 19, 1981.

Scott was employed at Vapology, where he was beloved by customers. Often described as a gentle giant, his large stature was matched by a tender and compassionate nature. He had a deep sensitivity for the overlooked, which was reflected in the way he connected with people and in his love for animals, especially rescues. Over the years, he and his mother opened their home to people going through difficult transitions, offering them a place of stability and kindness. Though more introverted by nature, he had an uncanny ability to connect with anyone. He was a thoughtful listener and a natural conversationalist. He loved art, music, and movies, and especially enjoyed camping trips with his closest friends.

He is survived by his mother, Paula D. (DeBord) Reynolds; and sister, Heather (Dustin) Smith, and his former spouse, Stephanie Ratley, with whom he remained close friends until his passing. He was preceded in death by his father, William A. "Bill" Reynolds; maternal grandparents, Paul & Dorma DeBord; and paternal grandmother, Dixie Reynolds.
