Ronald E. Marshall

Ronald E. Marshall, 64, of Trenton, died Wednesday, January 8, 2003 at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Cincinnati on June 21, 1938 to parents Millard and Dorothy (Little) Marshall.

Mr. Marshall worked as a tire builder for Dayton Tire & Rubber for 17 years. He retired in June, 2002 from Edgewood School District as custodian of Bloomfield Elementary School after 22 years of service. He was very active in the community, having been Union President for Edgewood School District, Past President of the Band Boosters, former director and coach of Knothole Baseball, a Weeble Scout Leader, and he taught rollerskating at the old Roller Haven and Skateway in Trenton.

Mr. Marshall is survived by his wife of 45 years Dorothy (Meadows) Marshall of Trenton; a son Ron Marshall of Trenton; two daughters Kathy (John) Stitzel of Middletown and Trina (Steve) Cottongim of Trenton; a brother Richard (Mary) Marshall of Trenton; a sister-in-law Barbara Marshall of Lebanon; six grandchildren Rachel Eatough of Florida, Michelle Stitzel of Middletown, Amy Cottongim, James Marshall, Brian Marshall, and Harley Marshall all of Trenton; and one great grandchild Jayslen Eatough of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Timmy Marshall; a brother Millard Marshall, Jr.; and a sister Janice Spears.

Funeral Service will be Friday, January 10, 2003 at 2:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
