Robert E. Schul

Robert E. "Bob" Schul, 87, of Wayne Township, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at home, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on October 5, 1937 in Gratis Township to parents, Raymond G. and Alice M. (Koontz) Schul.

Bob had attended West Elkton High School and began working for Miami Carey, retiring in the late '80's after 34 years with the company. He was a great mechanic and enjoyed working on cars. Bob loved being outdoors and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife, Joyce E. Schul; his children, Ann (Mark) Banks and Gary (Kimberly) Schul; sister, Shirley Williams; grandchildren, Erica (Brian) Kuhbander, Steven (Pamela) Banks, Matthew (Shawnee) Banks and Karley (Jordan Peters) Schul; great grandchildren, Landen, Lucas, Ava, Billy, Jesse, Mary, Emerson, Laila, Brenna, Lael and Joey; as well as many other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donnie Koontz; and sister, Carol Hoit.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 12, 2025 at 12:00 noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Reverend Peter Hamm officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
