Rita M. (Bierman) Patrick

Rita M. (Bierman) Patrick, 91, of Springboro, died Friday, April 18, 2014, at her residence. She was born in Middletown on March 6, 1923 to parents Philip A. and Elizabeth (McAbier) Bierman.

Rita, along with her husband, John, owned & operated the Franklin Printing Company for over 30 years and Rita was also a professional seamstress. She was a member of Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church and the Ladies Society at Holy Trinity. She volunteered in the parish office and in the kitchen at Holy Trinity School where she was also a member of the PTO. She volunteered for Middletown Regional Hospital and the Red Cross for 40 years and was a 4-H advisor to sewing & cooking clubs.

Mrs. Patrick is survived by her sons, Michael (Kathleen) Patrick & Dr. Kenneth (Marilyn) Patrick; daughters, Ellen (Chuck) Schmidt & Roseann (Mark) Julian; eight grandchildren, Andy, Phil, Sally, Laura, John, Kyle, Matt & Sarah; and 10 great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Victoria, Alexandra, Andrew, Audrey, Jenna, Jack, Andrew, Emma & Max.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 ½ years, John C. Patrick in 2013; parents; brothers and sisters, Rose Kohr, Ruth Bierman, Francis Bierman, Philip Bierman, John Bierman, Mary Lee and Clarence Bierman; and grandson, Chad Patrick.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 21, 2014 at 11:00 am at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Father John Civille officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at church. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
