Ray A. Mays, 74, of Middletown, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Brownsville, Indiana on November 11, 1949 to parents, General and Shara (Brock) Mays.

Ray was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was quite a "Jack of All Trades" and very good working with his hands. He made his living as a carpenter and also enjoyed working with leather and tinkering in his garage. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether gardening, hunting or fishing.

Ray is survived by his daughters, Mistie Benincasa, Saunie Maiola & Cherish Howard; son, Tommy Mays; sister, Patty Mays; brothers, Earl Mays & General Mays, Jr.; grandchildren, Katie, David, Gabriel, Madeline, Josh, Jacob, Rachel, Sara, Josh & Tommy; and numerous great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Mays; his parents; and sisters, Shirley Mays & Breanda Mays.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
