Ray Livingston Kindell, 87, of Middletown, died Tuesday, January 25, 2005, at Lebanon Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Celina, Ohio on March 17, 1917 to Benjamin L. and Eva (Winter) Kindell.
Ray was a 1934 graduate of Celina High School, as well as a 1942 graduate of the University of Toledo and graduate of the Parsons School of Design in New York. He was well noted for his water color paintings and has painted numerous scenes around Celina. He also taught interior design at State University in New York. Mr. Kindell served in the United States Army during World War II.
Ray is survived by sister-in-law, Mary Kindell of Middletown, OH; and niece, Mary Ellen (Lee) St. John of Newark, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Carl Kindell.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 28, 2005 at 1:30 PM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Father Richard Riedel as celebrant. There will be no visitation. Interment will be at North Grove Cemetery in Celina.
