Paul A. Clevenger, 67, of Middletown, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Middletown to Mary Ann (Reider) Clevenger.
A life-long resident of Middletown, Mr. Clevenger graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School, class of 1976. Paul worked for Akers Packaging for 44 years, retiring in 2020: he loved his work family, and enjoyed the many co-workers and long friendships he made during his long tenure there.
Mr. Clevenger attended Crosspointe Church of Christ. He enjoyed NFL football, Cincinnati Reds baseball and classic cars.
Paul is survived by his sister, Debra (Tim) Perkins; niece, Tara Perkins (Decker Thorowgood); nephew, Timothy C. (Dawn) Perkins; special aunts Betty Pyles Perrine and Janet Reider Chase, several dear cousins & many friends, and the best friend a guy could ever have, Eric Ferguson.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brother Charles “Chuck” Clevenger, grandmother Dorothy Reider, who raised him and his siblings after the passing of their mother, and several dear aunts, uncles and cousins.
Celebration of Life will be held September 22, 2025 at Crosspointe Church of Christ, 212 S. Broad St, Middletown, OH. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:30 to 5:00 PM at the church, with memorial service at 5:00PM, Pastor Scott Johnson officiating. Meal and fellowship to follow. Family requests those who attend honor Paul by wearing their favorite NFL jersey, and bring your best Paul stories to share.
