Janice (Jan) D. Laubach, age 69, of Monroe, peacefully passed away on November 19, 2021. She
was born on March 12, 1952, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to the late Clarence Harless and Jewell
(Hedrick) Marshall.
Jan was known for her heart of gold, compassion, love for God, and dedication to her family.
She enjoyed many of the simple things in life like cooking, camping, gardening, and feeding her
hummingbirds every year.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Barry Laubach; and two brothers, Fred Harless and
Randy Harless.
She is survived by her two children, Heather (Andy) Turner and Rusty Steele; stepchildren,
Michael Laubach and Tera Childers; grandchildren, Tyler Steele, Braden Turner, Kaylee Muncy,
Lauren Turner, Lanie Muncy, Bryce Steele, Nicholas Childers, and Ciara Beavers, the Laubach
family, her brother James Harless, as well as several nieces and nephews. So many special
friendships were made during her life. Steph Outman, Kim Dineen, Debbie Turner, and the
Kinder family to name a few; And we can’t forget her buddy Goldie and a beloved granddog,
Maizey.
A gathering of friends and family will be held from 11AM-1PM on Saturday, November 27,
2021, at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd, Middletown, Ohio. A
Celebration of Life service will follow at 1PM, officiated by Pastor Joe Shutts from New
Freedom Church. A private burial will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
