James B. "JB" Hagins

James B. "JB" Hagins, 85, of Franklin, died on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Kettering Health Miamisburg. He was born in Kentucky on April 6, 1940 to parents, Marcus and Loretta (Walters) Hagins.

JB was a 1959 graduate of Preble Shawnee High School in Camden, Ohio, and played on the basketball team. He was a veteran of the United States Army and while serving he continued his love of the sport and played Travel Basketball for the Army. After his service, JB had a fulfilling career in the construction industry.

JB is survived by his daughter, Holly (Kevin) Gilmore; step-son, Gene (Jessica) Ice; grandchildren, Orion Gilmore & Ophelia Gilmore; step-granddaughter, Elayna Ice; sisters, Fay Davis & Judy Bush; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, George Frazier, Harden Hagins & Adrian Hagins; and sister, Leona Hurst.

Graveside Service will be Monday, September 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Fairmound Cemetery in West Elkton, with Pastor Jim Setser officiating.
