Helen (Corbett) d’Entremont, 88, passed from this life Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Hospice of Butler/Warren County, her loving daughters by her side and a family's heart, surrounding her. She is survived by her beloved husband, John C. d’Entremont, their love sparkling through 68 years of marriage, timeless dancing partners.
Helen was born April 6, 1937, and raised in Lynn, Massachusetts, the oldest daughter of the late William & Helen (Mannix) Corbett, and graduated Lynn Classical High School.
She and John moved to Middletown, Ohio in 1964 and there committed her all to raising their three daughters. Their home was always a place that all the neighborhood kids gathered. Years later she nurtured and spoiled the grandchildren there, in her beautiful yard. She truly loved having them all around her. In recent years seeing her great grandbabies truly warmed her heart.
Helen was an avid gardener, and an extraordinary cook. She was a member of the Beta Kappa Sigma Phi Sorority, making many dear, life long friends. She loved to knit, crochet, and sew, and was active in a local book club. She was involved in many of the Charity Ball dances, taking every opportunity to dance the nights away with John.
She was a volunteer for Middletown's Doty House in the early years, working with special-needs children, as well as the American Red Cross. For years Helen collected door to door contributions in the same neighborhoods, until everyone knew her mission.
Helen loved her Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, and the Ohio State Buckeyes, quoting accurate stats and facts of her favorite players and catching every game possible on TV or radio.
Like her father before her, Helen never met a stranger, and was an oftentimes hilariously blunt, but always loving and helpful to anyone. She never forgot a name. Even through the last few months of hospitalizations, she made it her mission to always greet all of her caregivers by name.
In addition to her loving husband John, Helen is survived by her three daughters, Lori (Kevin) Snyder of Santa Barbara, Ca, Susan Allen of West Chester, Ohio, and Tricia (Roger) Perdue of Middletown, Ohio; 6 grandchildren, Ian (Kate) Snyder, Drew (Meredith)Snyder, Brennan (Kyndrah) Curry, Danni Allen, Madelyn Perdue and Kati Allen, and 4 great grandchildren, with another expected the end of this month; a wonderful sister-in law, Lorraine Walkey, of Windham, New Hampshire, and her loving brother-in-law, Matt Dillon of Danvers, Massachusetts, and many nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.
Beside her parents, she was also predeceased by her three sisters, Geri Farrahar, Louise Hamilton and Elaine Dillon, and her two brothers, William and Donald Corbett.
A Celebration of Life is planned for later this year.
