Dr. Frederick A. Guenther, 95, of Franklin, died on November 15, 2025 at Otterbein-Middletown. He was born on June 5, 1930 to Albert and Anna (Beck) Guenther, German Immigrants.
Fred grew up and attended school in Miamisburg, OH. He entered the Ohio State University in 1948. Soon after his graduation he was drafted into the Army for 2 years. Following his discharge he returned to The Ohio State University for 4 years and received his degree in veterinary medicine. He then moved to Springboro and opened his own clinic; practicing there for 41 years. After retirement in 2001, he decided to follow up on his dream to become a world traveler and visited Antarctica, Australia, the Chilean Patagonia, Cape Horn, China and Tibet, to name only a few.
Fred is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joan (Henneman) Guenther; sons, Scott (Barbara) Guenther and Mark Guenther; daughters, Lori (Kevin) Meier and Leslie (Daniel) Jelinek; grandchildren, Kelsey Guenther, Allison Meier, Patrick Meier, Abigail Meier, Leah Meier, Lukas Jelinek and Helene Jelinek.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Monday, November 24, 2025 from 10:00 AM to11:00 AM at New Hope Lutheran Church, 10 North Breiel Blvd, Middletown, OH.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM at church with Pastor Mike Havey officiating with a luncheon immediately following.
Graveside Service will be at 1:00pm at Woodside Mausoleum, 1401 Woodside Blvd, Middletown, OH 45044.
Memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Lutheran Church, 10 Breiel Blvd, Middletown, OH 45044.
