Frances F. Hoskins, 67, of Middletown, died Thursday, October 3, 2002 at her residence. She was born in Middletown on September 29, 1935, to parents Albert and Mabel (Medlen) Frebis.

Mrs. Hoskins worked for the Safety Council for 44 years, retiring in 1997. The council named the Frances F. Hoskins Community Safety Award after her. She was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. John's Church, as well as the ladies society at Holy Family. She served on the board of the Women's Center and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Frances is survived by her husband of 43 years, Donald Hoskins of Middletown; a brother Thomas Frebis of Middletown; nieces Katherine (Rick) Beatty and Cynthia (James) Conti; nephew Michael Frebis; and great nieces and nephews Shane Conti, Matthew Beatty and Sara and Katie Frebis.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, October 5, 2002 at 11:30 AM at Holy Family Parish-St. John's Church with Father John Civille as celebrant. There will be no visitation. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Middletown, 4414 Lewis Street, Middletown, OH 45044.
