Dallas Sturgill

Ernest "Dallas" Sturgill, 81, of Madison Township, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born in Middletown on January 26, 1943 to parents, Ernest and Anna (Frazier) Sturgill.

Dallas worked as a welder/fabricator for Armco Steel Corp. He was a devoted Christian and member of University Baptist Church. Dallas was a "jack of all trades" who was especially skilled at carving and woodworking. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening.

Dallas was a loving husband, father, Papaw and hardworking provider for his family. Dallas is survived by his daughters, Michele (Edward) Dible & Lorraine (Scott) Woodrome; sister, Delores Wray; brother, Darrell (Dee) Sturgill; grandchildren, Marilyn (Kevin) Scheiding, Caroline (Joseph) Cox, Margaret (Jalen) Lentz & Dallas Dible; great grandchildren, Evaleena, Naomi & Noelle; and many other loving family & friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret A. Sturgill; parents; and brothers, Lacy Sturgill & Kenneth Sturgill.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at University Baptist Church, 4125 Riverview Ave., Middletown. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at Miltonville Cemetery.
