David Scott Triick

David S. "Scotty" Triick, 61, of Middletown, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Miami Valley Hospital.

Scotty was a life-long resident of Middletown, being born here on March 27, 1964 and graduating from Middletown High School. He earned his Associates degree and went on to work as a safety engineer for Sherwin Williams. Scotty was an avid "buckeyes" fan and could always be found cheering on The Ohio State.

Scotty loved his family and will be greatly missed by his wife, Laurette Triick; children, Amy L. Triick, David A. (Alyssa) Triick & William S. (Morgan) Triick; his father, David R. Triick and step-mother, Bett (Apple) Triick; and his beloved grandchildren, Mackenzie, Hailey, Gunner, Hunter, Evelynn, Miley & Nathan.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Myra Lou (Getz) Triick; and brother, Robert C. Triick.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 12:00 noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Pastor Adam Profitt officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon at the funeral home.

Private inurnment will be at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum at a future date.
