Calvin E. Fite, 89, of Middletown, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Kettering Health Hamilton (Ft. Hamilton Hospital). He was born in Middletown on February 4, 1936 to parents, Calvin and Annette (Diver) Fite.
Calvin worked in roll shop maintenance at Armco Steel Corp, retiring in 1992 after 38 years with the company. He was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served as an 82nd Airborne Paratrooper.
Calvin is survived by his daughters, Lynn Hawkins & Lori (Mike DeSantis) Fite; son, Greg (Rebecca) Fite; grandchildren, Sara McIntosh, Crystal Fite, Cheryl (Justin Monette) Fite, Ryan Hawkins & Jacob Fite; great grandchildren, Brennan McIntosh, Becca Trickel, Charles Trickel, Destin Trickel, Zach Fite-Monette, Athena Fite-Monette & Titus Monette; as well as many more loving family & friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Thompson.
Funeral Service will be Monday, June 9, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
