Bernard T. Esselman

Bernard T. "Ben" Esselman, 84, of Monroe, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at home. He was born in Cincinnati on June 14, 1939 to parents, Bernard and Ruth (O'Brien) Esselman.

Ben had a wonderful career as a baker and worked for many companies.

Ben is survived by his beloved wife, Anna (Otte) Esselman; children, Beth (John) Schwab, Anthony (Rose) Esselman, Cathi (Jerry) Keeshan, Bernard M. Esselman & Louis Esselman; sister, Ruth Hasemeier; brother, Louis (Marilyn) Esselman; 8 grandchildren; two great granddaughters; along with numerous nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Danielle Esselman; sons, Andrew Esselman & Laurence Esselman; and sisters, Martha Esselman & Shirley Bast.

Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 330 Lebanon St., Monroe with Father Paul Gebhardt as celebrant. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the church.

There will be a luncheon following the Mass in the hall behind the church.
