Alexander David Wieneke, 29, left us without asking our permission, on Sunday, July 21, 2024, after a battle with cancer. Alex never met a stranger and had innumerable friends. In his younger days, his family affectionately called him the "Mayor of Rosedale Elementary".
Alex got his start in the working world as a server and bartender at several establishments in Middletown and Columbus. He found his calling as a Graphic Designer and Sign Maker at So Easy Signs; a job that he took great pride and enjoyment from. Alex was also an active member and bartender at his beloved Wildwood Golf Club. In his spare time, Alex loved working on home improvement projects and hosting parties for his friends and family at his famous "Garagio Sport and Social Club".
Alex is preceded by his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Wieneke and maternal grandparents, Richard and Mary Jones.
Alex is survived by his amazing and beautiful family members, including father, David Wieneke and mother, Kerry Wells, husband, Dan. He is also survived by brother, Steve Carlson; sisters, Marguerite Trodden, husband, Corey; Buffy Wieneke; Liz Lowe, husband, Rob; Devon Sherman, husband, Brian; and hellcat Dorothy. His survivors also include numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and countless best friends in this area and across the country.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Wildwood Golf Club, 601 Aberdeen Dr, Middletown, Ohio 45042, on Friday, August 2, 2024 beginning at 5:00 pm.
The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at The James Comprehensive Cancer Center, The Ohio State University and Ohio's Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties for their care, compassion and support.
