Virginia T. Brown

Virginia T. Brown, 92, of Monroe, died Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. She was born in Marion County, Indiana on September 30, 1916 to parents A.R. and Iva (Buckley) Taylor.

Virginia was a very active member of Monroe Presbyterian Church, was a member of Ohio O.P.R.S. and served on the State and Mt. Pleasant Boards. She worked as a librarian at Miami University for over 19 years, retiring in 1978 and was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her sons, James (Mary Ann) Brown and Daniel (Shaani) Brown and grandchildren, Danielle, Jimmy, Jack, Hallie, and Knox.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Louis James Brown in 2003; her parents; and brother, Donald Taylor.

Memorial service will be held Monday, December 1, 2008 at 11:00 am at Monroe Presbyterian Church, 57 W. Elm Street, Monroe with Reverend Pat Warren officiating.
