Victor Haddix Leroy

Victor Haddix LeRoy, 82, of Middletown, died Tuesday, October 28, 2003, at his residence. He was born in Lewisburg, Ohio on August 22, 1921 to parents Gordon Stanley LeRoy and Lola Pearl (Haddix) Anderson.

Victor graduated from Franklin High School in 1939 and went on to graduated from Ohio State University in 1948, with his bachelors degree in business administration. He fought at Guadalcanal during World War II with the First Marine Division. He was a member of American Legion Post #218, Jefferson Lodge #90 F. & A.M., and was a longtime member of Wildwood Golf Club, having joined in 1957.

Victor is survived by his wife, Virginia D. (Forsyth) LeRoy of Middletown; two daughters, Carol D. (John) Peck of Southport, NC, and Joan L. (Frank) Schiavone of Monroe, OH; two sons, William W. Burkett of Chattanooga, TN and Robert M. (Debra) LeRoy of Cranberry Township, PA; five grandchildren, Frank Schiavone, Jr., Natalie Schiavone, Angela Peck, Amy LeRoy, and Michael LeRoy; and a special friend, Jess Hollingsworth of Franklin, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 31, 2003 at 12:00 Noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., with Reverend Karen Haak officiating. Visitation will be Friday, prior to the service, from 10-12 Noon at the funeral home. Jefferson Lodge will conduct masonic services at 11:30 AM. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with graveside services by the Marine Honor Guard and American Legion Post #218.
