Thomas J. Kucer

Thomas J. Kucer, 80, of Middletown, died Sunday, January 22, 2006, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Mingo Junction, Ohio on January 6, 1926 to parents Andrew and Mary (Grantonic) Kucer.

Mr. Kucer worked as a brick mason for McGraw Construction for 34 years, retiring in 1991 and was a life member of Bricklayers Local 18 of Cincinnati. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and was a 50 year member of American Legion Post 218. He was a member of Saint Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Jefferson Lodge #90 F. & A.M., Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite-Valley of Dayton, Shriners, and Order of Hepa. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and will be sadly missed.

Mr. Kucer is survived by his wife, Mary (Eliopoulos) Kucer; two daughters, Andrea (Blair) Isenburg and GiGi (Steve) Depew both of Middletown; brother-in-law, Herbert J. Hebert of Baton Rouge, LA; two granddaughters, Lauren Elizabeth Isenburg and Lindsay Renee Isenburg; and numerous nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Francis, Joseph, & Robert Kucer; and sister, Dorothy Hebert.

Prayer Service will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) with Reverend Dr. Christos B. Christakis officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12-2 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 218 Honor Guard.
