Thomas E. Martin

Thomas E. Martin, 87, of Trenton, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022 in the comfort of family and friends. He was born in Hamilton on November 27, 1934 to parents, Herbert and Rose (Beck) Martin.

Tom retired from Armco Steel Corporation as a superintendent in the electrical power department. He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. In retirement, he enjoyed the family cabins in Spring City, TN and was active in caring and giving to his growing family in Ohio and Tennessee. He also held a special place in his heart for horses and was an active trainer and driver for many years in the harness racing sport. He was also an avid Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan.

Most of all Tom was a devoted husband and wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather. This precious man will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 67 years, Carolyn A. (Huston) Martin. He had a unique way of making his family feel very special. In addition to Carolyn, he is survived by daughters, Jennifer (Dan) Menzer & Linda "Babe" (Bill Schlenk) Martin; brother, Raymond (Dorothy) Martin; six grandchildren, Sheryl Vincent, Kristen (Bobby) Adams, Roger (Sheena) Haller, Jr., Jessica (Nathan) Hale, Ashley Haller & Tiffany (Kyle) Terzak; ten great grandchildren, Emily, Abby, Logan, Bailey, Luke, Alleigh, Jack, Jackson, Audrey & Hollis; as well as many nieces, nephews & friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Thomas Jeffrey Martin; brothers, Herbert & Fred Martin; and sister, Mildred Sheller.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, October 7, 2022 at 11:00 am at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 222 Hamilton Ave., Trenton with Father Stephen Lattner OSB as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the church. Interment will be at Miltonville Cemetery.
