Sherman D. Adkins

Sherman Dale Adkins, 64, of Carlisle, died Saturday, November 24, 2012, at home. He was born in Monroe, Ohio on June 18, 1948 to parents Willie and Pauline (Litteral) Adkins.

Sherman enjoyed restoring old cars and hotrods. He also loved spending time with family and friends as well as vacationing in Gatlinburg, TN and the beach.

Mr. Adkins is survived by his wife, Catherine (Feltner) Adkins; daughter, Amanda (Sean) Ricci; brothers, Donald Adkins, Danny (Lisa) Adkins; sisters, Imogene Peck, Jerry (Fred) Downs, Carolyn (Jack) Stacy; grand dog, Rocky and many nieces, nephew, friends and loving family.

Sherman was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Tammy Taylor.

Memorial service will be held Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 7:00 PM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Chaplain Jesse Thornton officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
