Ruby J. Cummings

Ruby J. (Collins) Cummings, 73, passed away August 26, 2004 at Middletown Regional Hospital.

Preceded in death by her husband, James W. Cummings. She is survived by her eight children: Jim, Mike, Gary (Shelly), Joseph, Chuck, Colleen, Teresa Cummings and Beth Everage; fifteen grandchildren: Heidi, Jim, Erik, Jessica, Jacob, Cameron, Jared, Douglas, Michelle, David, Daniel, Dylan, Maicie, Madison, and Morgan; and three siblings: Jewell Kremer, Grace Collins, and Cobert Collins.

Ruby, a ’49 Middletown High School graduate, was a lifelong Middletown resident except for the few years her family lived in Shannon, Ireland, and Wheeling, WVA. She was a realtor/broker, member of the High Fever Follies, bridge club, Middletown Lyric Theater, ‘49ers Class Reunion Committee, Docent at Holy Family Parish, and MidFest volunteer, Ruby cherished family and friends, delighted in laughter, and savored life.

A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at 1:00 PM at Holy Family Parish-Holy Trinity Church, with Father John Civille as celebrant. The family will receive friends prior to the Memorial from 11:00 – 12:30 at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Middletown, 4414 Lewis St., Middletown, OH 45044
