Robert E. Henderson

Robert E. Henderson, 81, of Middletown, died Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Middletown on August 1, 1932 to parents Richard Henry and Elizabeth Sarah (Harrell) Henderson.

Bob worked as an inspector at Armco Steel Corporation. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Christ Church United Methodist where he served as an usher for 24 years, most recently as head usher. Bob loved his great nieces & nephew, spending time in the yard and traveling, especially cruises and Christmas was his favorite time of year. He and Margaret would have been married 58 years on December 3rd this year.

Mr. Henderson is survived by his wife, Margaret; brother, Richard (LaVonne) Henderson; nieces, Karen & Beth; nephew, Michael Patrick (Wendy) Minor; great nieces, Corinne Ann Minor & Sarah Elizabeth (Ethan) Britton; great nephew, Matthew Joseph Minor; and sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Marilyn & Joe Minor. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 2, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at Christ Church United Methodist, 700 S. Marshall Rd., Middletown with Reverend Norman Coleman III officiating. Interment will be at Mound Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Christ Church United Methodist Memorial Fund, 700 S. Marshall Rd., Middletown, Ohio 45044.
