Richard R. Barker

Richard R. Barker, 58, of Trenton, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Middletown on September 9, 1955 to parents Robert Earl and Lucille (Martin) Barker.

Richard worked as a corrections officer for the State of Ohio, retiring in 2004. He served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam.

Mr. Barker is survived by his wife, Dawn (Murray) Barker; son, Sean Barker; daughter, Shannon Barker; brothers, Kenneth (Dixie) Barker & Ronald (Tana) Barker; sisters, Marilyn (Rodney) Campbell & Gayle (Ronald) Wright; mother-in-law, Catherine Murray; sister-in-law, Alison (Joseph) Layne; and numerous nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Eugene Barker; and twin sisters, Arlene & Charlene Barker.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
