Phyllis J. Churchill

Phyllis J. Churchill, 85, of Middletown, died Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at her home. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 29, 1931 to parents Parker and Evelyn (Johnson) Jones.

Phyllis had worked for Citizens Savings & Loan and then First Financial Bank, retiring in 1993. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church and helped with the prayer chain. She also volunteered at Middletown Regional Hospital and Atrium Medical Center.

Mrs. Churchill is survived by her husband, Jim Churchill; sons, Jim (Jeanine) Churchill & David (Marcella) Churchill; daughter, Sue (John) Faulkner; sister, Shirley Crosby; grandchildren, Todd, Steven & Keith Churchill, Jessie Aponte, Kate Huffman & Amanda Wallace; and great grandchildren, Elly, Tyler, Justin, Jack, Jonah, Josie, Liam, Spencer, Parker & Madden.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donald E. Jones.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church, 10 North Breiel Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Sara Cutter officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at church.
