Pauline G. Gardner

Pauline G. Gardner, 71, of Monroe, died Friday, March 7, 2003 at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born August 6, 1931 in Bath County, Kentucky to parents Arthur and Nancy (Warders) Markland.

Pauline attended Middletown High School and had worked for Union Sanitary, SS Kresge, and was a cashier for Albers. Mrs. Gardner was a wonderful homemaker and an excellent cook.

She is survived by her husband, Michael D. Gardner of Monroe, a daughter, Karen Stebbins of Middletown, two sons, Rick Gardner of Monroe, and Michael C. (Beatrice) Gardner of Norwood. Pauline is also survived by a brother Gerald (Elaine) Markland of Nashville, Tennessee, a sister, Marilyn J. Montgomery of Middletown; 6 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Carroll Markland, and a sister, Mildred Ball.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., with Father John Civille officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery.
