Miriam Hiester Robinson

Miriam Hiester Robinson, 85, of Monroe, Ohio, died Friday, June 18, 2004, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. She was born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania on December 4, 1918 to parents Joseph Franklin and Beulah Bertha (Keim) Hiester.

Mrs. Robinson worked as an office manager for the Diamond International Paper Company for many years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, enjoyed playing bridge and recently had attained Golden Age Master of the American Contract Bridge League, and had many friends. Up into her 80´s, Miriam was an avid bowler and golfer.

Miriam is survived by two sons, Stephen V. Robinson and daughter-in-law Nancy Nathanson, of Eugene, OR, and William B. (Karol) Robinson of Moraga, CA; two sisters, Evelyn Frick of Harrisburg, PA, and Isabel Shoemaker of Jackson, MS; and three grandchildren, Sierra Robinson, Vicky Robinson, and Ted Robinson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Robinson in 1984; her parents; and a sister, Dorothy Behney.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 24, 2004 at Dayton Memorial Park, 8135 N. Dixie Dr., Dayton, OH. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 26, 2004 at 2:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church, 2910 Central Ave., Middletown, with Reverend Tom Ramsey officiating.
