Mildred Blossom

Mildred Blossom, 86, of Kettering, formerly of Middletown, died Thursday, December 4, 2008, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Stroh, Indiana on May 9, 1922 to parents Russell and Ora (Halsey) Murphy.

Mrs. Blossom worked as a secretary for Carlisle Schools and for Armco Steel Corp.

She is survived by her son, Russell "Rusty" (Kathy) Blossom; sister, Betty (Earl) Simpson; grandchildren, Keri (Bryan) Rogers, Lindsey (Justin) Long, Matthew Blossom and Anne "Katie" Blossom; and great grandchildren, Jordan & Megan Rogers.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, George Blossom in 1977; her parents; sisters, Wanetta Class and Dorothea Reffitt-Evans; and brother, Donnie (Ellen) Murphy.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
