Mary L. Lewis

Mary L. Lewis 97, of Carlisle, died on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Otterbein-Middletown. She was born on July 24, 1924, in Hallsville, OH to William and Bessie (Barnhart) Barnes.

Mary was a loving mother and will be missed by her family. She worked for Meijer as a salesclerk and was a member of Holy Family Parish.


Mary is survived by daughters Diane Roark and Robin Fields, grandchildren Danny Roark, Timothy Roark, Mark (Erin) Garritson, Matt (Erin) Garritson and Sarah (Justin) Fletcher, 11 great grandchildren, sister Florence Hettinger, brother Roger Barnes along with many other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Lewis, her parents, brothers Damon Barnes and Nathan Barnes and a sisters Betty Lou Huffman and Goldie Barnes.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 17, 2021, from 12:30 PM to1:30 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) Middletown, OH 45044.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Holy Family Parish-St. John Church 201 Clark St. Middletown, OH 45042 with Father John Civille as celebrant.

Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum.
