Marsha Ann Phillips

On June 26, 2015, after a long illness, Marsha Phillips passed away. Marsha was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on March 25, 1951 and was the daughter of the late Faye Williamson Phillips and Grant Phillips, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Sally Williamson and husband Walker of Middletown, Ohio, her brother, Larry Phillips of Fernandina, Florida; two nieces, Katrina Blomquist of Louisville, Kentucky and Suzanne Penaherrera of Yulie, Florida; two nephews, Robert Walker Williamson of Middletown, Ohio and Bryan Phillips of Louisville, Kentucky; many cousins, grand-nieces and nephews, and great grand-nieces and nephew.

Marsha graduated from Pikeville High School, Pikeville, Kentucky, and the University of Kentucky. Marsha had a very successful career in the pharmaceutical industry and last worked for Ethicon- Endo Surgery in Cincinnati, Ohio. She retired in 2011. Marsha loved all animals, especially cats, and her four cats entertained her and lived the good life.

Marsha had many interests. All who knew her knew that she loved Christmas time and the spirit of giving. This love for giving to others and her love for her county and those that served, especially the United States Marines, led her to combine both these passions into a huge Toys for Tots party each December. For over fifteen years, the party grew and became one of the largest Toys for Tot parties sponsored by an individual in Southwest Ohio. Thousands of kids have benefited from Marsha's efforts and generosity.

Marsha loved all people and opened her heart to everyone she met. A Toys for Tots Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 11th from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Four Bridges Clubhouse, 8300 Four Bridges Drive, Liberty Township, Ohio. In true Marsha Phillips fashion everyone will be asked to bring a toy or a donation for this charity that Marsha so dearly loved. Donations may also be given to Wounded Warrior or any charity for the benefit of animals.
