Manford W. Morris

Manford W. Morris, 78, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Caney, Kentucky on July 16, 1934, the son of Rennie and Mrytle Morris.

Manford worked at Cincinnati Gas & Electric (Duke Energy) for 40 years.

Mr. Morris is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia L. (Taylor) Morris; sons, Kirby R. Morris (wife Beverly) of Columbus and Barry D. Morris (wife Phyllis) of Middletown; eight grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jered, Emily, Jordan, Victoria, Ellen, Vincent & Erin; brother, Elisha E. Morris; and sisters, Lafern Lovejoy & Bonnie Harp.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers & sisters, Charles Morris, Jessie Morris, George Morris, Herschel Morris, Ellis Morris, Geneva Elam & Lorene Beims.

Manford was a loving, dedicated family man who enjoyed life & brought joy & comfort to everyone. He is now with our Lord Jesus Christ for an eternity of rest & joy.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 12:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Phillip Manning officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
