Louis J. Brown

Louis J. Brown, 86, of Monroe, Ohio, died on March 21, 2003, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Lebanon, Ohio on August 19, 1916 to parents O.K. and Clara E. (Sieker) Brown.

Mr. Brown served his country in the United States Army Aircorp where he served in World War II.
Mr. Brown was a member of Monroe Presbyterian Church (Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church), past president and board member of the Middletown YMCA, former elder at the First Presbyterian Church, a member of the American Apprentice Roundtable and the American Society of Training Directors. He taught in the Middletown and Trenton public schools. He was training supervisor in the Armco Training Department for forty years, retiring in 1978.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife , Virginia T. (Taylor) Brown ; two sons: James (Mary) Brown of Phoenix, AZ and Daniel K. (Carolan) Brown of Pasadena, CA and two grandchildren, Danielle Brown and James Brown.

A memorial service will be held Monday, March 24, 2003 at 10:30 AM at Monroe Presbyterian Church, 57 W. Elm Street with Reverend Sam Gibb and Reverend Stan Gockel officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

Memorial donations may be made to Mt. Pleasant Life Care Fund, 225 Britton Lane, Monroe, OH 45050.
