Lola Mae Jones

Lola Mae Jones, 84, of Otterbein - Lebanon, died Saturday, August 26, 2006, at her residence. She was born in Fairborn, on September 2, 1921 to Philip and Ruth (Pieffer) McLaughlin.

Mrs. Jones had resided in Farmersville for 56 years, before moving to Otterbein-Lebanon. She worked as an administrative assistant for the State of Ohio for 30 years, retiring in 1985.

Lola is survived by, her husband, Lawrence Jones of Lebanon; three daughters, Virginia Jones of Lebanon, Joyce Cope of Monroe, and Shirley (Richard) McBride of Dayton; three sisters, Lila Baer of Centerville, Bette Jasko of Beavercreek, and Mary Jo Balling of Phoenix, AZ; a brother, Philip McLaughlin of Centerville; grandchildren, Thomas (Valerie) Cope, Michael (Kimberly) Cope, Brian (Adrienne) Mandzak, Bradley Mandzak, and Michelle (Jody) Malicote; and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Maxine Ark.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady Of Sorrows Catholic Church 330 Lebanon St., Monroe, with Father Terry Meehan as celebrant. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the church. Interment will be at Preble Memory Gardens.
