Kristy Renee Adkins

Kristy Renee Adkins, 37, of Middletown, passed away on December 28, 2019. She was born in Middletown on April 28, 1982, the daughter of Claude Adkins, Jr. and Gloria (Reynolds) Oliver.

Kristy will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She adored spending time with them, especially her son, Dylan. Kristy and Dylan's shopping trips were very special. Kristy loved to play board games with her nieces and nephews. She loved to be in the outdoors, hiking was a favorite pastime of hers. She was employed with Swaggert Construction, in Virginia, as a heavy equipment operator. Kristy loved her job and was a dedicated hard worker.

She is survived by her beloved son, Dylan Patrick Sorrell; her parents, Gloria (Thomas) Oliver and Claude (Debbie) Adkins, Jr.; her siblings, April (Rob) Frakes, Sarah (Josh) Colon, Jessie (Corey) Haddix, and Noah Oliver; her grandparents, Lillian Reynolds and Geraldine Adkins; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by Dylan's father, Ryan Sorrell; her grandparents, Claude Adkins Sr., Ed Reynolds, and Goebel and Elizabeth Oliver.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 11:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd, Middletown. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the funeral home.
