Julia M. Hocz

Julia M Hocz, 81, of Middletown, died Thursday, February 9, 2006, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born in Winegar, Wisconsin on April 15, 1924 to parents George and Pearl (Moore) Gunderson.

Mrs. Hocz worked as a secretary for Armco Steel Corporation, retiring in 1984. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Prosser Chapter #367 OES, Accents, and AARP. She enjoyed traveling and holiday functions.

Julia is survived by her husband, Michael Hocz; a daughter, Paula Lynn (Greg Parisian) Whitmer of Bowling Green; two sons, Gary M. (Diane) Hocz and Dale F. (Robyn) Hocz, both of Middletown; sisters, Ruth (Fred) Rau of Middletown, Katherine (Jim) Hollenbeck of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Marilyn Frith of Dayton, Shirley (Ken) Bracken of Mary Esther, FL, and Carolyn (Jack) Thomas of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Col. Lindy C. Gunderson and George Edward Gunderson.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 13, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) with Reverend David Chivington officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, from 2-4 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
