Juanita Hope Hume

Juanita Hope Hume, 91, of Middletown, died Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at Hillspring of Springboro. She was born in Middletown, Ohio on April 29, 1926 to parents Arthur and Louise (Duffy) Huffman.
Juanita was a registered nurse at Middletown Regional Hospital for 35 years retiring in 1985. She graduated from Monroe High School and The Middletown Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of her high school and nursing class alumni groups. Juanita was also a member of Middletown Cotillion Group and the Middletown Hospital Retirees Association, and Holy Family Parish.
   Mrs. Hume is survived by her children, Kathy (Dan) Swain, Pamela (Tim Hocz) Hume, Greg (Pam) Hume, Jeff (Christy) Hume, sister; Florine Huffman and 10 grandchildren 6 great grandchildren.
   Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 61 years James Robert "Speed" Hume and brothers; Arthur Huffman Jr, Edward Huffman; Fred Huffman and sister, Lola Larison.
   Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 17, 2017 at 1:30 pm at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 - 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita, Middletown, OH. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
