Married to the late Elbert R. Tannreuther for 67 happy years she is survived by her son Steven (Rita) Tannreuther, daughters: Deborah (Mark) Tibbs, Patricia (Tom) Ball and a fur baby DeeDee. Surviving siblings include Susan Hall, Dick Young, Evajo Rubin, Carol Matakas, Cindy Olsen and Tom Young. She is survived by eight grandchildren: Christopher (Alline), Kevin and Jeremy (Katie) Tibbs; Valery Setters (fiancé Mark Hurley); Amanda (fiancé David Manns) and Michael (Jackie) Tannreuther; Lindsey (Alex) Tzakis and Lauren (Derek) Olguin. She had the joy of ten great grandchildren: Austin, Jody, Jarrett, Joshua, Riley, Emma, Emily, Kendall, Sadie, and Cora. She had many nieces and nephews who she loved and enjoyed. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Jim and Don Young.

Joyce spent her years as a loving matriarch to a large extended family, hosting them all for nearly every Holiday. She played a regular card game with a group of friends for the past 60 years, a group who continues to play today. She brought that same passion and commitment to her service with the Monroe Historical Society, Current Events Club, and as a treasured member of Monroe United Methodist Church. Upon her retirement from MacDonald Insurance Agency, Joyce continued her passion for family, community, faith and travel. Aside from family, she considered her proudest accomplishment the building of the Monroe Historical Society Museum.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Atrium Medical Center Acute Care and Miami Valley South Comprehensive Cancer Center Nurses and Physicians for their exceptional care.

We now honor her journey home. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Monroe United Methodist Church Friday, January 25, 2019. Visitation at 10:00 am with service to begin at 11:00 am, officiated by Pastor Joel Harbarger.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Monroe Historical Society, P.O. Box 82, Monroe, OH 45050 or Monroe United Methodist Church, 206 East Ave., Monroe, OH 45050.
