Joseph A. Pleska

Joseph A. Pleska, 86, of Monroe, died Monday, September 21, 2009, at his residence. He was born in Middletown on April 13, 1923 to parents Luka and Susanna (Chupka) Pleska.

Joseph worked as a machinist and inspector for Black Clawson for 47 years, retiring in 1988. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II.

Mr. Pleska is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margery E. (McCarty) Pleska; three sons, Joseph A. Pleska, Barron V. (Dixie) Pleska and Michael A. Pleska; 8 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Pleska; parents; and brothers, Louis Pleska and Edward Pleska.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
