John F. Rockel

John F. Rockel, 73 passed away Friday, September 27, 2013 at Butler-Warren Hospice. He was born on Nov. 27, 1939 in Cincinnati, OH to parents John & Catherine (Dorsey) Rockel. He was a Professional Engineer, a Metallurgical Engineer at Armco Steel for 32 years, and served as a Lieutenant in the US Army. He received his BS at The University of Cincinnati and his MBA at Miami University. His hobbies included architecture, construction, traveling, and volunteering with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He was a life member of the Middletown High School Musical Arts. John is survived by his wife of 52 years Betty; and together they have four children:Cindy Davis, Robert Rockel, Kristy Philips and David Rockel who have given them six grandchildren: Addison, Ethan, Noah, Haley, Brooke, and Ashton. Funeral service Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013 at 12 Noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. Visitation from 10:00 am until time of service. Rev. Mike Evans officiating. Interment at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Blue Ash OH.
