John "Bob" Rouster

John 'Bob' Rouster, 87, of Middletown, died Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Cincinnati on October 4, 1927 to parents Peter and Clara (Lange) Rouster.

Bob worked for Standard Oil of Ohio (Cincinnati) for 36 years, retiring as a supervisor in 1985. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Knights of Columbus John Paul II Council #1610 and the Tuesday Work Crew at Holy Family Parish. Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served on the USS Oahu (ARG-5) during World War II. He was also active with CYO Football and Boy Scout Troop #20.

Mr. Rouster is survived by his sons, John S. (Pam) Rouster & Dale E. (Leslie) Rouster; daughters, Patricia A. (Tom) Hackett & Joyce M. (Bill) Murray; daughter-in-law, Patti Rouster; brother, Charles (Phyllis) Rouster; 12 grandchildren & step grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren & step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Rudemiller) Rouster; son, Harold 'Skip' Rouster; parents; and brother, Dan Rouster.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 19, 2015 at 11:00 am at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, OH. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Bishop Fenwick High School, 4855 State Route 122, Franklin, OH 45005 – OR - John XXIII Catholic School, 3806 Manchester Rd., Middletown, OH 45042.
