Jack Brelsford

John P. "Jack" Brelsford, 96, of Middletown, died Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. He was born in Middletown on April 10, 1917 to parents John and Elizabeth (Meehan) Brelsford.

Jack had worked for Armco Steel Corp. and retired from Buckeye Paper Products as a sales manager. He served his country in the United States Navy & Merchant Marines. He was a longtime Middletown resident who was very active in local politics and volunteered his time with various charitable organizations.

Mr. Brelsford is survived by his daughter, Pamela (Phillip) Gaible; grandchildren, Dr. Ryan (Gretchen) Gaible & Sara (Steve) Trybus; and great grandchildren, Alexa, Jack & Eleanor.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Brelsford; second wife, Velma Klamo Brelsford; parents; and sisters, Mary Bendel, Lucille Erham, Jane Holweger & Louise Hummel.

Private interment took place at Fairview Cemetery.
