Helen L. Turner, 89, of Summerville South Dayton, died peacefully Friday, April 3, 2009, after an extended illness.

Helen was a native of Middletown and graduated from Middletown High School in 1938. She worked at Diamond International and retired from Smurfit Paper Company in 1985.

She is survived by her son, Donald L. (Jennifer) Turner; daughter, Linda (John) Frankson; sister, Mildred Thomas; nephews & their families; two granddaughters, Michele L. (Alan) Terry and Renee L. (Ted) Hamilton; and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Turner; her parents, George and Helena Long; and granddaughter, Sarah L. Turner.

A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, April 6, 2009 from 1:30 - 2:30 PM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, followed immediately by a graveside committal at Woodside Cemetery.

The family asks that memorial donations be made to Vitas Hospice, 11500 Northlake Dr., Suite 400, Cincinnati, OH 45249 OR the Alzheimer's Association, 3797 Summit Glen Rd. #G100, Dayton, OH 45449.
