Helen Couch

Helen Couch, 71, of Middletown, died Wednesday, February 15, 2006, at her residence. She was born in Jackson, Kentucky on October 12, 1934 to parents Clayton and America (Lynch) Oaks.

Helen lived a life unsurpassed by a gift of charity for all, especially children. She lived in Middletown for 47 years.

Helen’s life was marked by her love of family, especially her husband of 50 years, John, who survives her with her daughters, Sherry (Michael) Swartzbaugh of Georgetown, KY and Johnna (Mike) Barch of Duluth, GA; four sisters, Cleta Potter of Middletown, Maude (Carl) Russell of Winter Garden, FL, Audrey (Charles) Howard of Camden, and Linda (Pearl) Young of Middletown; three brothers, Earl Oaks of Middletown, Harry (Joyce) Oaks of Gratis, and Finley (Diane) Oaks of Somerville; three granddaughters, Lauren Swartzbaugh, Kara Swartzbaugh, and Lindsey Barch; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Dixie (Dexter) Howard.

Helen’s family invites you to join them in a celebration of her life. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) with Reverend Arnold Brewer officiating. Visitation will be Friday, from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum.
