Harold L. Gayhart, 69, of Middletown, died Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Dayton V.A. Medical Center. He was born in Middletown on January 16, 1944 to parents John S. and Evelyn (Trent) Gayhart.

Harold worked at Sorg Paper Company for 38 years, retiring in 1999. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Mr. Gayhart is survived by his son, Darrel (Sharon) Profitt; 4 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Gayhart; son, James Profitt; parents; brothers, Frank Gayhart & Lonnie Gayhart; and sisters, Susie Short, Martha Combs, Mildred Collingsworth & Herma Gayhart.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 26, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend James Anderson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 11:00 - 12:00 noon. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
