Guy E. Samfilippo

Guy E. Samfilippo, 73, of Springboro, died Thursday, August 12, 2004, at Hospice of Dayton. He was born in Jerome, Pennsylvania on May 17, 1931 to Louis and Margaret (Agnello) Samfilippo.

Guy worked for National Steel as a safety engineer for 38 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Sons of Italy - Frank D. Vitori Lodge #2142, and was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus #1610.

Mr. Samfilippo is survived by his wife, Carol R. (Penegor) Samfilippo of Springboro; two daughters, Deborah J. Poet of Springboro, and Gayle (Jorge) Guerra of Miami, FL; five brothers, Sam (Florabelle) Samfilippo, Joseph (Pat) Samfilippo, Charles Samfilippo, James (Josephine) Samfilippo, Louis (Lillian) Samfilippo; four granddaughters, Erica Hicks, Tara Poet, Emily Guerra, and Sophia Guerra; and two great granddaughters, Emma Hicks and Maggie Hicks.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 16, 2004 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday, from 2-6 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, OH. Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum.
